The Return of Passenger Window

/

Over the past several years, I have enjoyed taking Street Photography pictures from a passenger perspective while my wife drives around random places. Whether it’s behind the windshield, or through the side window the process is very satisfying. Pedestrians, bus stops, and cyclists are what I tend to gravitate toward. Sometimes, I will shoot blindly while driving while never toking my eyes of the road.

*Disclaimer: Taking photos while operating a moving vehicle is dangerous. On the rare occasion when I’m driving, I shoot blindly, never taking my eyes off the road, or unless I’m safely stopped.

Sometimes, I take a single shot; other times, I put the auto advance and take shots blindly hoping to get something I think is useable as we pass by.ย  Post-processing can be a challenge, when it comes to the latter, “If only the subject was just-a-little-bit…,”ย

Below are some examples of my favorites using this drive-by method.
