Coffee Time Blog 07 | It’s RESET Day!

AI Generated madness! | Woman Resetting

Good morning! It’s 7:00 a.m. on October 19th, 2025

It’s a beautiful Sunday morning here in coastal Virginia, and this is a special edition of Coffee Time! Sundays are my “reset” day, and that’s what this is all about. Normally, I wouldn’t do anything on Sundays (well, I have to do things, of course), but I normally detach from technology. I turn the phone off or silence it and just don’t take it with me anywhere. I try my best to stay away from “techno-food,” as I call it, from the internet. Some people call it a dopamine reset; I call it a Mark reset. It’s just a day where my family knows they can’t expect much from me because I’m just coming down from my version of the past week.

I have a very busy brain, as you know! So, what I use my Sundays for is – I meditate, I stay calm, and I take good care of myself. I try not to reflect on worries. I try to eat something healthy… Well, I’ll just try to take care of myself. There are so many different ways to do it, and so many different opinions and things, even amongst the medical community. I’m not always successful with a reset, so that’s why on Sundays I’m really quiet, and I just kind of stay to myself and do my best to reset. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t, and quite frankly, sometimes Wednesdays are a reset for me! We all need it; we all need a break from this thing that we stare at in our hands every day and probably what we’re using right now to read this post.

—————————–

On a different subject, I’ve started a new page on Facebook, and I now have four Facebook pages! Well, three main Facebook pages that I take care of. For my personal stuff, for my personal narcissistic things, or whatever you want to call it, I have “Coffee Time” and “Mark’s Critters.” Then I have “Emay Ayche,” which is like photography and other things that I haven’t done anything with in a long time. And of course, I have my regular personal page. You know, I’m trying to find a way to organize all of this stuff, like I did in the other post about having so many things and so many hobbies. I have time on my hands now, so…you know.

So there you have it! Have a great Sunday out there, be good to each other. Go to church if you go, don’t go to church if you don’t. Love one another, ignore the news, and if you can’t ignore the news, then make sure that you go and look things up for yourself. All right, y’all, have a good one out there! Thanks for letting me ramble, and I’ll talk to you tomorrow.

Love,

Mark

  • Doctor Office forms, yes! Those!

We’ve all been there: the clipboard with the attached pen at the doctor’s office, featuring ambiguous forms that we constantly refill. It’s redundant, and we know they already have our information in the system, including our insurance details. They ask for liability purposes and use a broad form to reduce paperwork. I understand that excuse. However,…

    The Return of Passenger Window

Over the past several years, I have enjoyed taking Street Photography pictures from a passenger perspective while my wife drives around random places. Whether it’s behind the windshield, or through the side window the process is very satisfying. Pedestrians, bus stops, and cyclists are what I tend to gravitate toward. Sometimes, I will shoot blindly…
