Five Dram Linkhorn Annex

Linkhorn Biosphere Annex Log for October 11, 2025

It’s a beautiful, cool October Saturday. I decided to create a Linkhorn Annex, positioning it indoors near light for better observation and control. Whether this endeavor stems from a genuine scientific interest or simply a need for a project remains to be seen.

The Annex is housed in a five-dram (about 6 fluid ounces) closed flask with small air vents, creating a miniature, self-contained biosphere—I hope. The construction method was straightforward: the bucket previously used to collect substrate silt and water from a brackish waterway for the “Linkhorn Project” still contained residual material and water. I repurposed a portion of this material to initiate the mini-biosphere.

I am eager o observe the development of this system. Have a great Saturday. I will provide updates. This specific project is currently named,  “The Linkhorn Annex Biosphere,” though the rationale for this designation is still under consideration. Perhaps I will introduce some actual fauna soon.
