Too many interests?

Can a person have too many interests? I think I might. I have so many different things I like to do, and now that I have more time on my hands, my brain just races with all the things I enjoy. For example, I recently discovered that I can use AI to correct my grammar and composition, making my writing clearer and more effective than I could on my own. I also don’t love typing or proofreading, so I prefer to use voice-to-text and let AI clean it up before I post. This gets my message across, and I’m happy with the results—so, there’s that! (Laugh.)

My interests today include my shortwave radio hobby, listening to all kinds of unusual broadcasts. I also enjoy photography, especially shooting critters and wildlife. I’ve got a biosphere project I’m working on, and since I’m a tarantula keeper, I’m also busy with my arachnid friends. I’m training my German Shepherd, which is going really well. I like playing guitar and making jewelry, plus being artistic in general with all sorts of crafts.

Most recently, I’m really into listening to shortwave radio and finding mysterious or anomalous signals. Oh, and I also produce ambient electronic music, blending a lot of organic sounds like odd radio broadcasts, sound effects, and snippets of people talking in the background of a restaurant—things you’d want to fall asleep to.

And yes, of course, I enjoy eating—does that count as a hobby? Sometimes, I overwhelm myself with all these interests. As far as I know, I don’t have ADHD—I’ve been tested for personality disorders, and the results found no issues; I’m apparently neurotypical. Anyway, I digress.

Blogging is my new thing: writing about what I do and keeping this public journal (which is separate from my private one) may help bring me some balance.

Thanks for reading! I hope you’re having a great day and all that good stuff. I’ll write again soon. Bye!
